The 80,000-square-foot Field House at Chelsea Piers bursts with activity day and night, offering classes, camps, child care, drop-in activities, sports leagues and private lessons for children and adults of all ages. For youth the Field House offers three semesters of youth programming for children ages 12 months and older. Our Youth Classes are offered on a Spring (January – June), Summer (July – August) and Fall (September – January) semester basis. The Little Athletes programs are designed specifically for children ages 12 months to 5 years. Our Recreational Sports Classes are designed for children ages 5 to 16 years. Classes are offered in a variety of activities, including gymnastics, dance, soccer, baseball, basketball, rock climbing, football, multi-sport and more.

In addition to Youth Classes, we also offer Camps for children ages 12 months to 16 years. All of our camps offer young athletes the opportunity to learn a variety of sports, including soccer, basketball, baseball, gymnastics and rock climbing, from expert, caring instructors at one of the best athletic facilities in the world. In addition to each camp’s core curriculum, campers have the opportunity to participate in other activities around the Piers, including ice skating and bowling. Saturday Day-camps, School Break/Holiday Camps, and Summer Camps are all offered.

The Field House is also home to several competitive teams, including the Chelsea Piers Gymnastics teams, Youth Soccer teams and the CP Evolution travel basketball teams.

For adults the Field House also houses Manhattan’s most comprehensive and organized adult amateur sports programs. Whether you’re looking to relive your glory days in our adult soccer and basketball leagues, scale our indoor rock climbing wall, or perfect your front handspring, the Field House has something for you.

Our adult gymnastics program is among the largest and most diverse program in the country. The Field House offers 19 classes per week, in our 23,000 square foot gymnastics center, ranging from beginner to advanced gymnastics, Capoeira, Parkour and more. Our expert instructors utilize our world-class facility to provide top-notch instruction and workout supervision.

Additionally, our hardwood basketball courts and state-of-the-art artificial turf soccer fields provide the ultimate venue for league play. Unlike most leagues in NYC, games are always played at the same location – the Field House. They are officiated by real referees, and always start on time. Standings are posted daily online, and full-time program directors are on-site to supervise games.

DROP-IN ACTIVITIES
The Field House also offers customers access to our facilities during open hours with a selection of Drop-In Programs. Children and adults may call in advance to check the availability of the batting cages, soccer fields, basketball courts, gymnastics area and rock wall. Children 6 months to 4 years can stop in to our Little Athletes Exploration Center to crawl, roll, jump, and explore our indoor toddler play area.

Private Lessons are also offered at the Field House for youth and adults, providing a great opportunity to expand knowledge of a particular sport while receiving one-on-one attention. Private and semi-private lessons are available for individuals of all ages and abilities.
