| Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to close the facility and suspend all in-person Armory programs temporarily. We look forward to reopening as soon as possible, and we will determine a date as soon as we have more information.
During these troubled times, our first priority is the health and safety of both our regular visitors and the surrounding community at large. While the building is closed, our outstanding maintenance team will be disinfecting the entire facility from top to bottom. We all have a role to play in employing the recommended social distancing measures designed to save lives, and The Armory Foundation is determined to do our part.
While the majority of the indoor track season has already taken place, the NSAF made the decision to cancel New Balance Nationals Indoor last weekend. The next event on the calendar is the Columbia & NewYork-Presbyterian Indoor Marathon Team Relay, which has been postponed to June 18th-20th, assuming the current health situation is resolved. This event is our largest annual fundraiser, and we hope to have a wonderful marathon weekend in June.
Meanwhile, Armory College Prep will continue on, making the switch to remote learning. Our virtual classroom will be available on Zoom three days per week, where our instructors will provide academic aid in Math, English, Science, and SAT prep. We are also working with our partners at the Khan Academy to provide further structure for students home from school. We are pleased to announce that for the fourth consecutive year, 100 percent of our ACP seniors have been accepted into four-year college programs. We are so incredibly proud of all our students.
We hope that you and your families all remain safe during these challenging times. Our aim is to reopen as soon as it is safe to do so, and we plan to continue to be a resource to our local communities in any way that we can. We hope that you will continue to support us in our mission of Keeping Kids on Track.
